Gwags Scholars Program
The goalTo identify and invest in outstanding Cameroonian university students by providing financial support and professional development opportunities that prepare them for the transition into the workforce.
Access to higher education in Cameroon
In Cameroon, access to higher education remains heavily shaped by financial circumstances. Students with strong academic records are often unable to continue their studies due to a lack of financial support. And for those who do graduate, the transition into the workforce presents its own challenges. Limited access to work experience and professional exposure leaves many graduates without the tools they need to build careers after graduation.
About the program
The Gwags Scholars Program is an initiative designed to address both challenges directly. The program provides financial support to outstanding undergraduate students across Cameroon, removing one of the primary barriers to completing their studies. Beyond financial awards, the program prepares scholars for the workforce through internship opportunities and exposure to professional environments.
